The UCL Rover Team aims at designing, building, and testing a Mars Rover to compete at the University Rover Challenge in Utah during the summer of 2018.
Founded in 2017, the UCL Rover Team consists of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year Mechanical Engineering students. We are working tirelessly on this exciting project, with the aim of having a fully functioning rover to compete with at the University Rover Challenge 2018.
Launched in 2006, the URC is hosted by the Mars Society as a robotics competition to encourage university level students to design and build state-of-art next generation rovers. Held at the Mars Desert Research Station outside Hanksville, Utah, the competitions pits the rover in an environment with a geographical and chemical similarity to Mars.
